As a senior pastor, Joost possesses extensive experience in delivering sermons and leading local churches within a missionary context. He played a key role in initiating the development of academic programs aimed at providing ongoing education for church workers and pastors in The Netherlands.

Joost stands as one of the founders of Hart van Vathorst, a distinctive church planting initiative. This innovative community encompasses a church, a care center for people with disabilities and the elderly, a restaurant, and a daycare facility for children.

Leveraging his skills as a networker and connector, he actively engages in various supervisory and advisory roles. Presently, Joost serves as the senior pastor at Ontmoetingskerk, a reformed church located in Amersfoort.
